The Women’s Sport Trust is recruiting for a new Chair for the charity after deciding to separate the roles of CEO and Chair.
Established in 2012 with the aim of helping move women’s sport from ‘worthy to irresistible’, today the charity is at the heart of the advancement of women’s sport.
The Chair will be a talented and committed individual who will work alongside the Chief Executive and Trustees. The ideal candidate will have experience of helping organisations evolve and should be a strong external advocate for the work the charity does.
Tammy Parlour, co-founder and CEO, said: “A lot has changed since WST was founded more than 10 years ago. But two things remain the same – sport continues to be as important as ever in driving social change and women’s sport still affords a huge growth opportunity.
“By separating these two roles, we hope we can continue to build on the current momentum around women’s sport and also have the space to help realise its potential. We are a small charity but we have a huge impact and the new Chair should have the understanding, skills, vision and judgement to support us on this journey.”
